Ghana Parliament

About Manifesto.Watch

An independent, non-partisan platform dedicated to tracking the manifesto promises of Ghana’s major political parties — NPP and NDC — from 1992 to present.

Our Mission

To create a culture of political accountability in Ghana by making manifesto commitments transparent, trackable, and comparable.

Transparency

Every promise is sourced from official party manifestos. Status assessments are based on publicly verifiable evidence and news reports.

Data-Driven

We categorize, track and visualize hundreds of promises across sectors, providing citizens with clear insights into political performance.

How It Works

We extract key promises from the official manifestos of the NPP and NDC for each general election since 1992. Each promise is categorized by sector and assigned a fulfillment status based on publicly available evidence.

Status Definitions:

  • ✅ Fulfilled — The promise was substantially delivered during the relevant term of office.
  • 🟡 Partially Fulfilled — Some progress was made but the commitment was not fully met.
  • ⏳ Pending — The promise has not yet been acted upon, or the term is still ongoing.
  • ❌ Broken — The promise was clearly not delivered or contradicted by government action.

Our assessments are best-effort based on news reports, parliamentary records, government publications, and independent analysis. We welcome corrections and evidence contributions.
